In today's era of rapid technological development, sensors play an irreplaceable role as key devices for obtaining information. Fiber optic sensors, with their unique advantages, are gradually becoming the darling of many fields.
Fiber optic sensor is a new type of sensing device based on the principle of optical fiber transmission. It uses optical fibers as sensitive components and transmission media, which can convert the measured physical quantities into changes in optical signals, thereby achieving high-precision and high-sensitivity measurements.
Working principle of fiber optic sensor
1.Characteristics and advantages of fiber optic sensors:
(1). High sensitivity, capable of detecting objects as thin as hair strands, objects with small color differences, transparent objects, and strong resistance to light interference.
(2). Lightweight, flexible, and easy to install and bury. The fiber optic probe is compact and suitable for installation in small spaces and harsh environmental environments.
(3). Electrical insulation and chemical stability. Optical fiber itself is a highly insulating and chemically stable substance, suitable for use in harsh environments such as high voltage isolation and flammable and explosive environments in power and chemical systems.
(4). Good safety, fiber optic sensors are electrically passive sensitive components, and there are no safety hazards such as leakage and electric shock when applied in measurement.
(5). Anti electromagnetic interference. Generally, the frequency of light waves is higher than that of electromagnetic radiation, so the propagation of light in optical fibers is not affected by electromagnetic noise.
(6). Long service life, the main material of optical fiber is quartz glass, wrapped in a polymer material coating, which has stronger durability compared to metal sensors.
Color difference recognition - fiber optic sensor (BFW series)
◆ Provide 3 teaching modes to choose from according to different applications
When the amplifier is used alone or not enabled with mutual interference function, the response speed can reach Max.16 μ s
◆ The threshold confirmation is easy to operate, and the percentage/bar display mode can be switched
◆ Using white LED to stably detect color difference in printing
2.Application scenarios of fiber optic sensors
Fiber optic sensors are widely used in various fields such as semiconductors, lithium batteries, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, catering, hardware, textiles, packaging, etc.
Kronz has a complete range of fiber optic sensors tailored for different applications, with excellent performance. More than a hundred KF series fiber optic cables can be freely matched, and a variety of induction heads with plastic and glass fibers are available for easy application detection of small objects and complex environments.
